Love your Block
Graffiti Busters will be working on the “Love Your Block” project on East J Street and Vista Oak Place (east of Sunridge Park, along the canyon side) on Friday, November 11, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Special Team Coordinator Monica Hernandez and her family will be on site to provide direction to volunteers. The team is trying to complete the project by laying a mesh to prevent weed growth and placing mulch over the top of the mesh (see the attached picture). We need volunteers to bring garden tools, i.e. shovels, rakes, etc. to help with the project. If you have time to volunteer, please come ready to work. Wear a hat, bring gloves, something to drink and if you haven’t signed the City of Chula Vista waiver…bring that too (see attached). We’ll be happy to sign off on any Community Service forms as well.
