Donate a brick to the new Sharp Chula Vista Cancer Center

Hello Dear GS Leaders,

We have the wonderful opportunity as one of the finest service units in San Diego to leave a lasting tribute and legacy at the new Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center Cancer Center. (opening summer 2012) Our service unit can purchase a commemorative brick for $500 and personalize it anyway we desire- 3 lines with 17 characters per line max. If we get 25 troops to donate $20 each or 33 troops to donate $15 each, we can make this awesome accolade happen. Regina Todd at council cheerfully gave us two thumbs up to use troop funds as this definitely complies with Girl Scouts financial guidelines.

With the May 1^st deadline for the first phase of bricks fast approaching, the cheetahlicious co-leaders of Troop 5009, Dolly and Jessica, will be collecting donations for our brick at our next SU meeting Thursday, April 19th. If we do not collect enough money, all donations will be returned promptly. If we do have enough donations, we will be invited to the community open house Saturday, June 16^th. The mayor will do a proclamation and Dolly is working with the Sharp marketing team to see if our girls can do a flag ceremony and/or lead the pledge of allegiance.
