Hooray for Sunnytrails!
Dear Sunny Trails volunteers –
It does my heart so good to see and hear the great strides the service unit has taken. Mia comes hopping and skipping into my office regularly to tell me of a new committee member or event being planned. She’s so proud of you and all that will be accomplished in the next year and years to come.
It was great to see a large contingent of leadership from your service unit at the Leading the Way Conference; and even better to see that information shared with all on the email group. I would like to wish a great success to the executive leadership committee of Jessica, Michelle, and Deb – and also to other committees.
I would be remiss if I didn’t also tip my hat to Rich Kellis. I want to personally recognize and thank him for his leadership last year and hanging in especially with the staff transition in support. His efforts and those of the SU team are greatly appreciated in getting us to stop and assess how we were operating and challenging us to look for new ways to move forward. The achievements of this team’s efforts have been felt throughout the council – from the greatest increase in cookie sales to becoming the service unit with the largest increase in girl members!!!
I look forward to seeing how Sunny Trails moves forward in unity to continue creating an awesome leadership experience for girls. You all ROCK!!!
