Yosemite National Park – June 2017

About the Trip

Troop 5504 will like to invite girls to spend a week camping and developing lots of outdoor skills while getting to know this beautiful National Park. Come join up to 40 other Girl Scouts.  After arriving at the Valley or El Portal, we will set up camp and take off to explore the park. We will spend 4 days hiking, swimming, rafting in the river (if the water isn’t too rough), biking around the Valley, and much more. During our final day, we will drive through Tuolumne Meadows and go bouldering. After a picnic lunch by Tenaya Lake we will say our goodbyes and drive home. This is an introduction trip to camping at National Parks with many opportunities to hike at different levels. We will look into securing a wilderness permit to hike half dome for advanced hikers. If girls/adults are interested let Consuelo know right away.
