Wreaths Laying to Honor Veterans
When:    Saturday, December 16 (rain or shine)
Time:      8:30-11 a.m.
Where:   Miramar or Fort Rosecrans National Cemeteries and Greenwood Memorial Park
ActivityPlacing ceremonial Holiday wreaths sponsored by various businesses, groups and individuals on the grave sites of our military veterans at local national cemeteries.
Details: This is a family event; volunteer as an individual, family or group. A formal ceremony from 9 a.m. (SHARP) to 9: 45 is followed by wreath placement. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
Parking: Parking can be limited, so arrival by 8:30 is best.  At Fort Rosecrans parking will be in a Navy lot with shuttles to the cemetery.
Registration: At www.waasandiego.com, click on “Get involved,” then click on “Volunteer.”
Wreath Pick-up
When:   Saturday, January 13
Time:   8:30-10 a.m. (with enough volunteers, may end earlier)
Activity:  Pick up all wreaths from the grave sites, use a rake or broom to stack and drag to the roadside for pick-up.
Registration:  From www.waasandiego.com, email the volunteer coordinator.

Here is information for Wreaths Across America. It will be on Dec 16, 2017. You can sign up for Ft. Rosecran, Miramar, Greenwood, or Valley Center. Select the Volunteer button and put your Troop number and email.
