Our Council Representative Nat de Jesus spoke at the October meeting. She had some great handouts and information. She also shared a welcome to a NEW Girl Scout year and big thank you for volunteering from Carol Dedrich and the whole team at council. Here’s a brief summary on the items Nat shared at the meeting:

Adult Adventure Weekend – 11/12/26 – 11/15/26
Location: Camp Winacka, Julian, CA (4720 Boulder Creek Rd.)
Open to Girl Scout volunteers and adults interested in experiencing camp. Website and registration link available here.
Registration Cost: $100 or $80 Rate
Update from Product Programs on backpacks as of 10/05/26: The team is working directly with the CEO of the company. They have assured GSSD that the backpacks are in port, however, there is a rail delay (getting container from port onto the train).
Troop Cookie Manager (TCM) training is scheduled to be available the last week of October. Service Unit Cookie Coordinators (SUCCs) will receive an email next week about their training.
