Beach and Canyon Clean Up Dates

We’d like to invite you to save the date for the 14th Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd from 9AM – 12noon.  We plan to bring out 6,000 San Diego County volunteers to beautify 100 locations throughout the region, including beaches, bays, trails, parks, and neighborhoods.  Last year, Creek to Bay volunteers removed over 180,000 pounds of litter and debris, in addition to painting, planting, and invasive plant removal projects to restore our environment.

We hope you can join us for this year’s family-friendly event.  All locations will be posted online at www.CreektoBay.org with maps and directions, and you can register online for the site of your choice beginning April 1st.  Event information including instructions to enter our Bling Your Bucket contest, Bring Your Own Reusables campaign, scout patches, and event waivers that all volunteers must sign to participate (minors require a parent or guardian signature if under eighteen) will also be posted on the website for your reference.

Stay in touch for event updates or help spread the word with social media using the Creek to Bay event page here. You can use the hashtag #Creek2Bay to share your favorite moments from the event!

We are still in the process of finalizing cleanup sites, site captains, and event sponsors, so if you would like to get more involved in the event, please let me know.  We hope to see you there!

Thanks!
