Meeting Begins:  Welcome back and a special welcome to our new leaders. Angie is in the back of the room to answer questions. Babysitting by Bianca.

Troop/Girl Announcements:
Babysitting and Patch Sewing – Recent Graduate and Ambassador GS Bianca
Otay Ranch Town Center Band Review and Parade – Nov 10th, Otay Ranch Mall, by Parade Band Foundation, theme is Salute to our Veterans; offering a booth to Girl Scouts. Rochielle Jocson volunteered to coordinate.
Gingerbread House Decorating Event – Troop 5026 hosting event on December 15th; $20/couple; St. Rose of Lima
Ski Trip – hosted by Golda’s Troop 5967, January 13th; Big Bear Snow Summit; $120/girl,
Father-Daughter Dance “A Night in Paris”  – hosted by Consuelo’s Troop; February 10th,

On-Time Raffle– Tickets to Carrie Underwood concert (!!) on 10/20 compliments of Jennifer Chavarria, from Group Sales @ Valley View Casino Center (and Sunnytrails leader).

Financials by Beth Ann– The Top 10 Things You Need to Know!  Presentation on Financial matters by Beth Ann.
Cookie Series beginning the week of February 4th  – by Blanca Santos (Council MDO)
New Leader Recognitions -by Michelle Echeverria, Recognitions Chairperson
December SU Meeting – Junior & Cadette leaders – hold December 20th as the tentative date
Check Your Rosters –  Please check your Troop Management in the online registration system. We’ll have Mia from Council here in November.
Product Sales Team from Council- Robin Lemon from Council about Cookie Sales.
SU Team Positions Available – We are looking for volunteers for the following positions: Website and Product Sales Team. Many schools still need Membership Organizers. (See list on the table in the back of the room.)
SU COOKIE TEAM volunteers – We are looking for volunteers for our  2013 Cookie Team. Many positions filled at the SU Meeting. Contact Consuelo:
Round Ups/Parent Information Meetings –  Last one of 2012 – 6pm, early Nov., Date TBA, McMillin Elementary, help from MOs is greatly appreciated.
First Aid & CPR – Offered monthly at Crown Cove Aquatic Center. You need this training to go on field trips & camping.
New Leader Training Course –  One-time “Introduction to Girl Scout Program” class; then enrichment courses by level

Council-wide 100th Anniversary Song Fest!  – October 27, 3 – 4:30 pm, Balboa Park Organ Pavilion, register online:
Otay Ranch Holiday Parade – November 17th; flyers available tonight; Heidi Escobedo has agreed to coordinate. More info to come!
Youth Town Meeting – January 24th; Joan Kroc Center for Peace; invitation only; Consuelo to present info.
International Thinking Day – February 17, at BPC, 2pm – 4pm  Jobs & food, game or craft.
Yosemite Trip – Late June; older girls, 6 days in Yosemite; being planned by Consuelo Quintanar

Presentation of Thanks Badge to Consuelo Quintanar – Gerry Keshka the COO of Girl Scouts San Diego and Claudette Steinhauer from the Council Staff presented Consuelo with this award, the highest award a volunteer can earn. CONGRATULATIONS CONSUELO!!!! SUNNYTRAILS LOVES YOU!

Registrar: Dawn Garrigus Re-registrations are done online. Troop leader (01) can add new girls and adults online.  Registration deadline is September 30th.
