Upcoming Events:

Sunny Trails Annual Calendar Planning Meeting: Thursday, April 25, 7:30pm, Bonita-Sunnyside Branch Library Community Room, 4375 Bonita Road. Bring a brief event description (what/level) & potential dates. For Money-earning projects, troop must have sold nuts and cookies to be eligible.

Volunteer Celebration and Annual Meeting: Saturday, April 27, 9:30am-2pm, Hilton Mission Bay. Register online at sdgirlscouts.org. Meeting-Free; Celebration and Luncheon $25.  (9:30am-11am Annual Meeting; 11am-12pm Refreshments, games and networking; 12pm-2pm Volunteer Celebration and Luncheon).

Mother/Daughter Tea Party: Friday, May 3, 6pm – 8pm, First United Methodist Church (Troop 6058 Marilou Thomas)

Sunny Trails Bridging Ceremony: Saturday, May 11 at Salt Creek community park. 9am Daisies; 10am Brownies; 11am Juniors & above. Option to fulfill bridging requirements available. Cost $5. Register by May 1.

Cookie Celebration Day: TBD

What’s New Council?

What’s New webpage: Highlights new info in Volunteers section of GS website. For example, new bridging guide (March 2019), Higher Awards guide, large events and encampment director training, etc.

Spring Membership Campaign: Extended Membership rates for new girls. Girls who sign up or renew by 5/17  get the new Unicorn patch. Troop and leader Incentives when 80% girls renew by May 31.

Operation Thin Mint:  May 10 USS Midway.

Good-bye Green: May 15 at Bonita-Sunnyside Library: Event for Juniors to get them excited about retiring their ‘green’ vest and becoming Cadettes.

2019 Silver Award Ceremony: Thursday May 2, 6:30 p.m. at The Balboa Park Club OR Sunday May 19, 3:30 p.m. at Del Norte High School Performing Arts Center.
