It is with great sadness that we inform you of the the passing of John Sage from the Elks Lodge. John and his wife Laurie were recognized by GS council for their support of Girl Scouts and were awarded the Friendship Award. John and Laurie often got the room ready for our SU meetings and usually stayed until we were done. A memorial service is scheduled on March 18 at the Elks Lodge.

Thinking Outside the Box – Tuesday March 27, 9am – 3pm (Free event sponsored by Northrop Grumman, a local defense contractor (Joanee’ Johnson). Event is FULL. Sunnytrails Service Unit Annual Event Calendar Planning Meeting – Thursday April 26 at 7:30pm. Bonita Sunnyside Library Community Room. Thinking of having a money-earning project next year? Join us as we draft the 2018-19 SU and troop event calendar.
Bridging Workshop –May 11th, 5:30 – 7 pm @ Heritage Elementary. $10/girl includes completion of the 2 bridging steps, fun patch, craft, and a snack. (Carina Lutz)
Roller Skating – Saturday April 28 (Consuelo Murillo, Troop 5504)
Encampment/Sunnytrails Bridging Ceremony – Fri May 18 – Sun May 20 (Consuelo Quintanar)
Camp Surf – Fri October 12 – Sun October 14. $130/participant. YMCA Camp Surf in Imperial Beach. Juniors & up. Includes modern accommodations, meals, and fun activities: surfing, bodyboarding, wall climbing, archery, arts & crafts, skit night, campfire, S’mores, beach volleyball, gaga ball, swaps trading time. Cookie Team: Reminder deadline Friday March 16 to enter all ebudde transactions, rewards, and turn in any paperwork from discrepancies. Troops that received counterfeit bills need to turn in paperwork by appointment only on March 16. Email Cookie Team: cookies@gssunnytrails.com.
